Antique pewter hand pumped sausage stuffer with nozzle, circa early 1800s. The plunger is made of wood with pewter attachments at the far end and the cylinder with nozzle is entirely made of pewter. The nozzle has its original joint. It is a very old piece of kitchen utensil as we can see an old repair on the pewter cylinder. This originally would have been used to make sausages by hand and may be of French origin. This may be the nice talking piece that you are looking for. It is also a rare decorative item, and it certainly deserves to be added to a collection.
Dimensions: pewter tube is 46 cm (18") long with opening 8,5 cm (3 1/4") across; wooden plunger is 43 cm (17") long with pewter disk at bottom 7 cm ( 2 3/4") across.
Condition: Good condition for age. Free pewter ring might indicate that there was a collar around it. Two small cracks at the end of the nozzle. Tip of nozzle slightly crushed.
Smoke-free environment. Shipping fees always combined on multiple purchase.
NOTE: All our products are antique or vintage. We strive to purchase and present only items in good to near-mint condition, but most pieces will show some degree of wear that we try to describe and show in our pictures.
